Hey, I’m Shaun Potroz — 29 years old, born and raised in Taranaki. I’m fueled by mountain roads, late nights in the garage, and a stubborn refusal to take the easy line.

I pilot the Champ Vision S15, and for the 2025/26 D1NZ season, this beast is ready to throw down. Under the hood? A savage EWS-built 2JZ GE+T all under control with our G4x Fury LinkECU tuned by NDT developments, G-Force GSR transmission, full Wisefab front and rear, and Triace tires gripping the tarmac like they mean it — sticky, reliable, and built for battle.
Drifting’s been my obsession since I was a teenager. I started out watching grassroots events, swinging and throwing tools in the shed, and eventually building my S15  from the ground up with Smith Industries. Now I’m out here competing with the best in the country, backed by sponsors like FP Design, Airtech, Attraction, Brake & Cluth Rebuilders, Steven sole customs and Fenix  — the ones who believed in the grind from day one.
Off the track, I live the build life. Helping other drivers, keeping drift culture raw and real. SMP Motorsport is more than a team — it’s a movement. We’re blending motorsport with street culture, teaming up with Champ Vision, and pushing the name as far as it’ll go.
Whether I’m relief milking, racing, or just talking shit — I give everything I’ve got to whatever’s put in front of me.
